We Do What Others Will Not
Most voice AI platforms give you an API and walk away. We build custom extensions, integrate with your existing PBX, and pick up the phone when you need help. No partner referrals. No documentation-only support. No abandonment.

Based on publicly available documentation and pricing as of May 2026. Features may have changed. Check each platform for current capabilities.
Three Things No Other Platform Offers
Not marketing fluff. These are the actual reasons customers choose VoiceInfra over the alternatives.
Custom Extensions & Middleware
Every other platform gives you an API and says good luck. We build custom middleware to connect your existing systems. Need a bridge between your PBX and a legacy CRM? We build it. Need custom SIP routing logic? We write it. This is not a feature, it is our standard operating model.
- Custom middleware development for any system
- PBX-to-AI bridging without replacing infrastructure
- Legacy system integration that other platforms refuse to touch
- No partner referrals. We do the work ourselves.
Direct Engineering Support, Not a Knowledge Base
Other platforms expect you to read documentation, post in community forums, or pay enterprise fees for actual human support. Some refer you to implementation partners who charge more than the platform itself. We do not do any of that. You get direct access to the engineers who built the platform.
- Direct access to engineering team, not a support ticket queue
- No partner-only implementation model
- No "read the docs" deflection for complex issues
- We pick up the phone and solve your problem
Telephony Experts, Not AI Tourists
Most voice AI platforms were built by AI engineers who discovered telephony exists. We came from the other direction. We understand PBX systems, SIP trunks, SBCs, codecs, DTMF, and all the messy realities of business phone systems. This is not a side project for us, it is what we do.
- Deep expertise in 3CX, Asterisk, FreePBX, Cisco, Avaya, and more
- We understand your existing phone infrastructure
- No rip-and-replace required. We work with what you have.
- Built by telephony engineers, not AI hype chasers
Honest Assessment of the Alternatives
Every platform has strengths. Here is where they shine, and where they fall short.
Retell AI
Solid SIP trunking on all plans, strong multi-LLM (GPT-5, Claude 4.5, Gemini 3.0), visual no-code builder, chat and callback widgets.
SIP setup requires technical knowledge or partner (Jambonz) for complex PBX environments. No custom engineering. Support is Discord and email on standard plans. Pricing stacks up: advertised $0.07/min but all-in costs land at $0.13-$0.31/min with LLM and telephony add-ons.
Vapi
True multi-LLM with 20+ model variants, developer-friendly SDKs and CLI, active community forum. Raised $50M Series B in 2026, crossed 1 billion calls. Amazon Ring is a customer.
No owned telephony network. SIP is external only, you manage your own carrier. Widget is still in beta. Only ~40 integrations, all require technical setup. Developer-focused means you need engineering resources. Support is Discord and email on standard plans.
Synthflow
Best-in-class no-code builder (BELL framework), 200+ native integrations, strong white-label and agency support.
OpenAI-only for LLMs. No Claude, no Gemini, no custom models. SIP and PBX integration locked behind Enterprise plan. No custom middleware. No multi-provider TTS. If you need LLM flexibility or SIP without an Enterprise contract, this is the wrong platform.
Thoughtly
Good no-code builder, multi-channel (voice + SMS + email), native CRM integrations with write-back. Low starting price with free tier available.
No SIP trunking as of May 2026. Telephony is Twilio-dependent. No user-choice LLM, you cannot pick your AI model. No website voice widget. Primarily sales and outbound focused. AppSumo reports of hidden pass-through carrier fees.
Bland AI
Best-in-class SIP Wizard (launched March 2026) for Enterprise, owned full infrastructure stack, persistent website widget with multilingual support, three deployment tiers including on-premise. Agent-to-agent testing and regression framework.
SIP is Enterprise-only (~$150K+/year minimum). Limited multi-LLM on standard tiers (GPT-4 and Claude only). Pay-as-you-go concurrency is capped. Pricing is complex with stacked costs. The steepest enterprise entry point in the market.
