Add & Configure an MCP Server

Click Add MCP and fill in the server name, URL, timeout, and an optional description. Add custom HTTP headers for authentication; each header is stored encrypted and sent only to your specified endpoint. Save and the server is immediately available to assign to any AI agent.

The timeout defines how long the agent waits for a response from the MCP server before giving up. The default is 5 seconds. Adjust this based on your server's typical response time.

Yes. Headers are encrypted and stored safely. They are only sent to the specified MCP URL during connection requests and are never exposed in logs or dashboards.

Yes. You can update the name, URL, timeout, or headers anytime from the MCP Servers dashboard. Changes apply immediately to future requests.

The agent will wait for the timeout period, then handle the failure gracefully. It may inform the caller of the issue, retry the request, or escalate to a human agent.

Yes. MCP servers are provider-agnostic. They work with any LLM provider supported by the platform, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and others.

There is no strict limit. Add as many servers as needed for your use cases. Manage them easily from the MCP Servers dashboard.

You need workspace admin permissions to add or edit MCP servers. Agents must be explicitly assigned the server to use it during conversations.

Update the headers in the MCP configuration. The agent will use the new headers for future requests immediately. No need to recreate the server.
